After breakfast, you will depart Arusha and begin your journey towards the world-famous Serengeti National Park, one of Tanzania’s premier wildlife destinations. The drive takes you through scenic landscapes and rural communities before gradually opening into the vast plains associated with the Serengeti ecosystem. Depending on your arrival time and route, you may begin your first game drive while travelling towards your lodge or tented camp. During the game drive, you will search for wildlife such as zebras, wildebeest, giraffes, elephants, buffaloes, antelopes and numerous bird species. Your experienced safari guide will explain the behaviour of the animals and help you identify different species as you explore the park. In the evening, you will arrive at your accommodation, enjoy dinner and relax as you prepare for a full day of Serengeti wildlife viewing.

Day 2: Full-Day Serengeti Wildlife Safari
Today you will enjoy a full-day Serengeti safari, giving you extensive time to explore the park’s diverse habitats and wildlife-rich plains. You will begin with an early morning game drive, when the cooler conditions can provide rewarding opportunities to observe wildlife. Your guide will explore different areas of the park in search of lions, leopards, cheetahs, elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest and various antelope species. The Serengeti is also associated with the Great Migration, and if your safari coincides with the movement of the herds, your guide will follow suitable areas based on current conditions. You will enjoy a picnic lunch during the day’s adventure before continuing with an afternoon game drive across the open plains. As the sun begins to set, you will return to your lodge or camp for dinner and relaxation after an exciting day of Tanzania wildlife viewing.

Day 3: Transfer to Ngorongoro Crater
After breakfast, you will leave the Serengeti and travel towards the spectacular Ngorongoro Conservation Area, enjoying scenic views as you cross the northern Tanzanian landscape. Depending on the day’s route and wildlife activity, you may enjoy game viewing as you leave the Serengeti before continuing towards the Ngorongoro Highlands. Upon arrival in the Ngorongoro area, you will have lunch and prepare for an exciting crater safari. You will descend into the Ngorongoro Crater, where diverse habitats such as grasslands, wetlands and woodland provide shelter for a wide variety of wildlife. During your game drive, you may encounter lions, elephants, buffaloes, hippos, zebras, wildebeest, gazelles and other species, while rhinoceros may also be encountered. After exploring the crater, you will ascend to the crater rim and proceed to your accommodation for dinner and your final night in the Ngorongoro area.

Day 4: Return to Arusha and Departure
After breakfast, you will leave the Ngorongoro area and begin your journey towards Arusha for your departure. Depending on your flight schedule, you may have time for a short morning activity or scenic drive before leaving the beautiful Ngorongoro Highlands. The journey towards Arusha provides opportunities to appreciate the changing landscapes of northern Tanzania and reflect on the wildlife experiences of the previous days. On arrival in Arusha, you will be transferred to Kilimanjaro International Airport, Arusha Airport or another agreed departure point. Silverback Tour will coordinate your departure transfer according to your flight schedule and onward travel arrangements.
